The way of polaroid

If you are very young and dont know what is Polaroid, here is the Wikipedia article:

The Polaroid Corporation is an American-based international consumer electronics and eyewear company, originally founded in 1937. It is most famous for its instant film cameras, which reached the market in 1948.

“Instant film” means that the camera actually printed the photo immediately after the photo was taken! Unfortunately for them, in the end of 1990s people started using digital cameras. It was not Polaroid’s fault. As a product, Polaroid cameras were fine. The appearance of digital cameras was an external factor. Suddenly, nobody was buying Polaroid. The company found itself in a dangerous situation.

At that time (about 2003) I heard the interview with the CEO (probably on NPR?). Unfortunately I could not find that interview now. The rude journalist asked, how it feels to be a CEO of a doomed company.

What did he answer?
